Participants must attend all days listed to obtain certification:
Saturday, July 29, 9 am - 5 pm
Sunday, July 30, 9 am -  5pm

SEAS and Sheboygan Youth Sailing are partnering to present this weekend class on Keelboat Fundamentals. The course is comparable to the Sheboygan Youth Sailing Center Adult Level 1 course packed into one weekend. SEAS instructors are US Sailing Basic Keelboat Certified Instructors and this course will have a maximum 4:1 Student to Instructor ratio to ensure the most attention possible while on the water.

In this class you will learn both on shore and on the water:

• Safety: clothing, sun protection, temperatures, life jackets
• Rigging your boat
• Tacking
• Jibing
• Points of sail and proper sail trim
• Leaving/Returning to the dock
• Heaving-to

Class materials: Basic Keelboat textbook provided

Course cancellation policy: Cancellation with less than one week’s notice will result in a late fee equal to 25% of the course fee.
